Valentines favorites

There are two things that I really love about Valentines Day.

#1.  Making Valentines cards for the kids at the children's hospital.

Besides missing it last year,  making the special Valentines has always been an event in our house.   We've been doing this with my great blog friend Melinda since at least 2010 and it means a lot to me that we are able to send some love to families that need it.   Some years it was just us girls and other years there was a table full of friends, supplies and heart themed food.

This year,  it was just me and a cup of coffee.

And I got to stay in my pajamas all day long.

This new stage of my life...
It's not bad,  it's just different and I'm still learning my purpose and how to be Leslie, the mother of adult daughters.

Sally, who is now 18,  working on some valentines back in 2010

Cute right!

I would have added Michelle also, but I would have had to crop out the teenage boyfriends.

My second favorite thing about Valentines day...

#2.  For me,  Valentines day marks the halfway point between winter and spring.

We are getting closer to warmer weather!

and I am soooooo ready!!!!

💗

Ps.  Melinda,  I am waiting for a few friends to finish up some cards and I will drop them in the mail by Wednesday morning.  : )

  2. Just read your last post on your old blog and I applaud you for being honest as to why you stopped blogging and why you hesitated to start again. I am with you on many of your reasons...it's very different. If you blog about what you want and stay true to yourself you have made at least one reader happy---yourself!

    Happy Valentine's Day!
