new computers and cars

Let me tell you about my awesome blog book.
There is none.
Let me tell you about the little laptop that I used to create it.
There is none.

That's right.  In the process of trying to get the book to upload,  the computer crashed.
I tried to reset it and NOTHING.  The thing was completely ruined.

So,  as of about an hour ago,  I've been setting up and playing with this brand spanking new laptop.
Will it last?  It better!    Will I still work on my blog book?   Maybe,  but I will definitely try a different book publishing company.    It is very discouraging when you put so much time, work and love into a project ~ only to have it disappear.    For now,  I'll just stick to blogging for a while.  : )

 Here's what has been happening around here.

We bought Sally her first car!!  I can't even believe that we're at that stage already.  It's
a 2005 (I think) mazda tribute that we got a great deal on and it's pretty awesome.  The interior is nicer than my car.  I'm a little envious. : )   Having driven it,  it feels like a sturdy vehicle that will be safe for our new driver.   She definitely loves it!
She also loves the freedom of coming and  going on her own.

 Next, while we are on the topic of cars.  Paul has driven his dad's old 1995 pick up truck ever since he lost his dad about 12 years ago.    He loves that old truck!    Throughout the years rust and age has really taken it's toll and although it has been a constant worry,  Paul refused to buy himself something new.  He's the type of husband who always puts his needs last.  He is most definitely the most selfless
person that I have ever known.   

On the evening that we brought Sally's car home, Paul called me from work telling me that something was wrong with his truck.   The clutch was finally going up and it's about a 2000.00 job.  Yikes. 

So now it was up to him to figure out whether to put the money into it or invest it in something else.

And as sad as it is to say goodbye to that trusty old truck,  I am thrilled that Paul finally bought himself something nice, new and dependable.  He deserves it.

This weekend I am going to get in a good house cleaning.   The dust and dog hair are taking over. If I have time, I might even work on a project that I've been thinking about doing.
