Fall in the dining room

Happy almost First Day of Fall.

I figured this is the perfect time to grab a coffee and catch up with some blogging.
The last time I was here I showed you the dresser turned dining buffet redo..
I still love it.
In fact,  I love it so much that the rest of the room was looking a little drab.
I decided that it was time for some fresh color on the walls.
I've been in my yellow safety zone for years now
and it was time to take a totally different turn.

Greige - part grey and part beige

I have never been a grey person and I know that I've said this a thousand times before,
but I really do love the color this time.

I am amazed at how it compliments the furniture and the ceiling.

As you can see,  I have already started my fall/Halloween decorating.

Because I love this room so much I went light on the decorations.
I didn't want to junk it up with my crazy Halloween décor..

I'm actually enjoying the calm Halloween decorations..

WHATS WRONG WITH ME!!!

Besides working in the house.  I've read a few great books.
Anybody out there read Sandra Brown?
She is my favorite and as soon as a new book is released - it is in my hands.
Her most recent book Sting did not disappoint.
soooo good.

I've been also working on my Halloween Sun Porch..
the theme this year,
"Death do us part"
a morbid wedding.

and of course,  I will share as soon as I get it all put together.

Hope that you all have enjoyed this last days of summer.
Happy Fall!!!!

  9. Your dining room looks fabulous! I'm not a big fan of gray, but I love it here, the way it's so crisp and clean and all the other colors really stand out. I could take some lessons in decorating from you. I'm way to cautious and only put out a few things. Love the table.
