The perfect summer day

Okay..  it's officially summer!

We've been dreaming about this day since March.
No.. January.

Due to the virus, and other unforeseen events we were late getting the boat out this year.
When the governor put restrictions on recreational boating I thought Paul would have a heart attack.
It's the one thing that he looks forward to.

Luckily the restrictions were lifted about a month ago.
We just had to wait for the perfect day.

Yesterday was that day!

The wake at the beach was rougher than usual but it calmed down once the wind switched directions.

Of course we took our best girl.
She loves the water.

We would love to take the big dogs but they are to heavy for us to lift in and out of the boat.

It felt so good to relax on the sand.
Paul really needed this level of relaxation.
He's been working through all of this chaos and taking such good care of us all.
It was nice to see him just chill.

Look out.
Hot mess on the beach.

I wanted to show you guys my new tattoo.

And it's fake!

It's supposed to last for about 2 weeks.

I have another Shark that I am saving for
Shark week!!

We keep the inflatable paddleboard in the boat,
once the winds subsided I blew it up ( pumped it up because physically blowing it up would kill me)
and charlotte and I went for a long paddle.

The inflatable is much harder to control than my hard board..
My legs and shoulders are paying for it today!!

Someone's seashell collection.
Nothing says Summer like a sea shell.

It was truly the perfect day!

After a full day of swimming, floating and exploring Charlotte was exhausted .

And so were we.

We got home about 8pm, cleaned up and ended this awesome day with grilled burgers and a late dinner on the deck.

***

Have a wonderful weekend friends.
